    Granola Recipe

    August 16, 2016

Here it is folks, we're about to share all our secrets with you, starting with our homemade baked granola...

This granola is great on its own as a snack, but it's especially delicious with greek yogurt, fresh strawberries and a drizzle of honey. I love it because it's crunchy, full of nuts, slightly salty and not too sweet. It's vegan, gluten-free and so simple to make. It will also make your house smell fantastic as it slowly roasts in the oven for two hours. Great, now my mouth is salivating. Anyways, here's the recipe...

    4 cups rolled oats

    1 1/2 cups walnuts

    1 1/2 cups pecans

    1 1/2 cups whole almonds

    2 tsp ground cinnamon

    1 tsp ground nutmeg

    1 tsp sea salt

    1 1/2 cups brown sugar

    1/3 cup boiled water

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

    2 tsp pure vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 250 F.

Mix together oats, nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in large bowl until well combined in a large bowl.

In a small bowl, whisk hot water and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved. Whisk in olive oil and vanilla extract.

Pour syrup mixture over oats and nuts. Mix well until everything is coated.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread granola evenly. Bake one hour. Remove from oven and flip, breaking up large chunks. Bake another 45mins-1 hour.

    Let cool before serving.
